  • Service lines (water and sewage) - backing up, overflow or escape of water/waste through inside drains, sump and other plumbing fixtures and systems on the premise

Ground Water Insurance

Ground water coverage includes:

  • Water in the soil beneath the surface of the ground, including but not limited to: well water, underground streams, cisterns, percolating waters

Disaster Financial Assistance

Following a disaster, the provincial government may declare the event eligible for Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA). Insurable damages in the private sector from wildfires, earthquakes, snow load, wind storms, sewer or sump pit back-up, water entry from above ground (including roofs, windows or other areas of the building), are NOT eligible for DFA.

Damage from overland and ground water is insurable and therefore, will not qualify for DFA; this makes overland and ground water insurance essential for your home.
