Annual General Meeting

We will be holding our AGM on Wednesday, April 14 through a virtual meeting. Stay tuned for more details!

2021 Director Candidates and Election

Northern Savings, like all credit unions, is a member-owned financial co-operative built on the principle of acting in the best interest of our members through a democratically elected Board of Directors.

You're more than a member, you are an owner and you can define the future of Northern Savings by voting for your Board of Directors.

This year, there are three director seats on Northern Savings' Board

  • Two Director At Large Seats
  • One District Representative - Masset Seat

The Masset District seat has been filled by acclamation and we welcome Megan Dorrington (Masset, BC) to our Board of Directors. There will be no election held for this seat.

Voting Expand/Collapse

Once again, voting will take place online -  this allows us to reduce our environmental impact, while providing members with a convenient and confidential method of casting their vote. Our third party provider, CUES, offers a secure and easy-to-use system.

How to vote Expand/Collapse

Voting instructions will be sent to all eligible voting members through a secure message via our online banking system on Monday, March 22. To access your message follow these steps:

Business members and voting Expand/Collapse

To vote as a business member, the business will be required to designate a non-member to vote on behalf of the organization.

To do this, complete this form> (either electronically or by printing it off and filling it out). Scan or email the completed form back to info@northsave.com

Alternatively, you can call your branch for assistance.

Once the form has been completed and received, we will contact the designated voter with login credentials to access the election.

Meet the Candidates

Brenda Dusome
(Vancouver, BC)

Brenda's Candidate Statement

I wish to serve on the Board of Directors because I believe Northern Savings is critical to the financial and social fabric of the communities it serves. I served on the Executive Team for the credit union for several years as VP of Business Development and Marketing. In that position I worked closely with the CEO on all facets of strategy and operations.  I am currently the Executive Director of a non-profit health organization and oversee 30 staff and an operating budget of $2.3 million. It would be a privilege to give back to Northern and its communities by serving on the board.
